I love Los Angeles. I Los Angeles because my drive to work consists of glancing through a variety of street art. I mean, where else do you get that? Yes, San Francisco and New York, but Los Angeles is such a bigger city with different areas where you can encounter ART. In fact, La Brea is where it's at. I took the liberty of snapping some photos of street art that I encountered before going in to work.

Thursday is usually my day off from work. John was scheduled a graveyard shift, which meant we had to make the most of our daytime. Aside from going to the auto shop for my smog check (which took forever), we relaxed at his house and picked up a cup of frozen yogurt. When the evening arrived, it was time to go see The Remainers at Bootleg Theater along with all of our friends.

On my way driving to work from a meeting in West LA, I noticed something unusual on a blank wall on Robertson (my occasional route to work). While waiting for the red light to turn green, I was able to examine the image that was unusual. It was an image of a little boy peeing pink on the wall. After the light turned green, I immediately pulled over, grabbed my camera and walked towards the wall to snap some photos.
I was excited to have encountered this because it was freshly posted (like couple of hours before I saw it and no one had yet to report it). I immediately thought it was Banksy's work that I luckily encountered, based on the image and the style. It's been reported that he could be in town, however, there's no official word that it is his work.

My friends and I attended the last Mondrian Session 2011, presented by KCRW, Thursday evening. Twin Sister was the band who performed inside the SPIN Hollywood at the Mondrian. It was a small place and filled with nifty people. There was no stage and it was a little hard to see the performance, but the music was loud and clear. Everyone danced (some danced a little too crazy).

After debating on what to manger (eat in french), my beloved and I stumbled upon Frisco's Car Hop Diner, a 50s themed diner in the City of Industry. It's an All-American restaurant with waitresses that are dressed with cute uniforms and roller skates. I enjoyed the vibrant turquoise and hot pink colors all throughout the restaurant.

What does one do when they have time to spare? They go bowling...at least my friends and I did. On Sunday, we went to Pinz Bowling Center, which is a very hip bowling place. It is located in Studio City and is constantly visited by celebrities and it's also used as a film location for several shows. On this particular day, we encountered Terrell Owens, wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Here is a video that I made and that John helped me edit. It is a gum ball machine that distributes the gum ball in a fun way.

Thursday was quality time for both John and I. We went to Seal Beach and met up with friends to eat at Nick's Deli. It was a beautiful day to not go out and enjoy LA's famous weather with friends and good sandwiches.

Adjacent to Nick's Deli was a garden filled with flowers and tiny cute plants. It was nice to enjoy a gorgeous day walking around the Old Town Garden and exploring.

After leaving the garden, we walked up and down Main St. and on to the pier. We encountered shops of all kinds; vintage shops, toy shops, convenient shops along with many restaurants (mainly gastropubs).
