Well, our trip to Boston finally came. We were there for five days, but only were supposed to bet there for four. U.S. Airways cancelled our first class reservation back to Los Angeles and were stuck for an extra night...not by choice. Anyways, our first day in Boston consisted of going to Boston Common (garden) and mainly just going to Fenway Park for the Red Sox vs Cubs game. Apparently, it's been about 93 years since they've played each other and that weekend was a big deal. I'm sharing photographs from both parks and my outfit worn for that day.
p.s. I packed for rain because it was supposed to be raining and not be gloomy or sunny.

So, yes...I am wearing my green jacket (again). I'm in love with it because it's very versatile and it just simply goes with everything. I like how it contrasts with orange.
On this particular day, we mainly hung out in Orange County. Went shopping for a couple of last minute things for our flight to Boston. Went into Kohls and tried on an LC and Vera Wang spring dresses, purchased Caramel Wafers from World Market, and purchased skinny pants from Target. Let me just say that World Market had the cutest items for 4th of July celebrations. Reds, whites, and blues everywhere...from patio furniture to scarves. I can't wait until we have our place so I can decorate. I also can't wait for the summer so I can wear sun dresses and wear bright colors.
p.s. Is it wrong that I am already thinking about my 4th of July outfit?
p.p.s. Did you see the new Leopard print Lita's from Solestruck? They are to DIE for.

Tuesday started off with a delicious brunch at The Original Pancake House in Redondo Beach. My friend Patrice offered to take John and I to enjoy and devour delicious pancakes. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and it was magical. After our rendez-vous at the pancake house, Patrice and I spend the whole day together. We ran errands and shopped for a couple of things. The rain, wind, sunshine, pattern made it difficult to put together an outfit, but I managed to look casual and chic at the same time. Put on my new trousers from Target and worked my way all around.
p.s. I LOVE how my new "So Chaud" MAC lipstick makes an ensemble pop.

Gloomy Moan-day is what yesterday was. The sun has been hiding the last couple of days in Los Angeles. It's been a little chilly and rain seems to be coming our way. Do you know what that means? It means not wearing sun dresses, shorts, skirts or sandals. On the contrary, it means cuddling/movie time on Netflix or hulu :) . At least I won't feel bad that rain is also expected in Boston while we are visiting.
Although the weather has been gray, it didn't stop me from running errands. Part of those errands was to purchase a new lipstick. I've been searching for a matte red/orangy lipstick (a color similar to ones from the runway i.e.Marc Jacobs). I came across "So Chaud" by MAC. It fit the characteristics that I liked and I purchased it. In fact, I liked it so much that I applied right away (as you can see on my photos below).
And btw, I am in LOVE with this olive green jacket (as you can tell). I like how it makes an outfit look cool yet chic at the same time. It's almost like a go-to jacket. I've worn it here, here, and here.
p.s. I am also sharing photos that I took Sunday on La Brea & San Vicente. This wall always has different street art.
p.p.s The Remainers are still part of K-ROQ's Locals Only show. Please vote for them here.

It's been a couple of days since my last post. Reason being: it's been a hectic week. Work, work, work...that's all it is now days. Anywho, since my last post, a lot has been going on. The Remainers were number 1 on Kroq's Locals Only show (yay!)...all thanks to everyone who voted and supported. To celebrate they played a free gig at O'Briens Pub in Venice and it was a pretty good show. Stuffy and sweaty, but a good set. Secondly, Patrice and me saw "Bridesmaids" and it was hilarious. I recommend everyone to go see that film. I promise you will laugh your pants off. Thirdly, visited my old campus to run a couple of errands. Lastly, had a date night with the mister. We went to The Waffle on Sunset.
p.s. I leave for Boston on Thursdy ^_^

Happy Mother's Day to my lovely mami! I love her with all my heart. I thank her for giving birth to me. Without her, I would not be in this earth living life to the fullest.

If you can't catch me at home, work, shopping, or eating, then you can most likely find me at a show. I love live music. Free shows, festivals, paid shows...as long as it's live music...I'm there. I was able to go see The Raveonettes on Friday at The Troubadour as part of their new album tour. They were good and the crowd was really into them. I was glad they performed my favorite song "Forget that You're Young."
On a side note...can't wait 'til we go to Boston in two weeks. I've been craving an adventure out of California.

Every first Thursday of every month, San Pedro hosts their Art Walk. My friend Marisol was the creator of the art exhibit at the Croatian Cultural Center of Greater Los Angeles. She gathered artists from all over Los Angeles and show cased their art. Paintings, photographs, crafts...it had everything. It was fun to view everyone's work. After the art walk, I was craving a scoop of Rainbow Sherbet from Rite-Aid. Happy Cinco de Mayo.
