During the weekend, we visited multiple sites including Santa Cruz, UC Santa Cruz, Highway 1 (back at it), stopped at a local town for food (Pescadero), Bob's Pumpkin Patch in Half Moon Bay (being stuck in traffic for 2 hours), eating by the beach in Capitola, and finally stopping by Martinelli's Saturday started in Santa Cruz after a long ride on Friday. Originally we planed on going to the boardwalk, but there was a festival in town that practically blocked the route. Thanks to Bill's and John's knowledge of the city, we managed to make our way to an area where you can see the boardwalk, hear the sea lions, and go in the surfing museum. (By the way, did you know that surfing was first brought to Santa Cruz in 1885?)

After leaving the beach, we drove by UC Santa Cruz. Let me tell you...it has an amazing campus! It's on a hill filled with trees. It's green everywhere you look! I loved it! It's such a laid back atmosphere.

The next stop stop after leaving UCSC was a little town off of Highway 1 called Pescadero. We stopped for food and drinks before heading to the pumpkin patch in Half Moon Bay. Unfortunately, most of the photographs from that location were deleted. I managed to only salvage a few, including one of Bill. This little town seemed like one of those in Hollywood in a horror movie (maybe because of the insane amount of fog).

One of the highlights for me on our trip was visiting a "real" pumpkin patch...not one of those LA ones where you pay admission and you are forced to buy tickets for games. Bill and John had actually been there before...many, many years ago. In a sense, this was like a mandatory stop. It was a unique special experience and there were so many photo opportunities. I almost want to make this a tradition...where every year we'll go to pick some pumpkins to bring back to our new house.

Sunday was an amazing fun day, except for that one of the holes in my jeans spread open and now you can basically see my entire thigh. On our way back to LA, we stopped by Capitola... a nice little beach town by the Monterey Bay coast . We ate across the Venitian, which is a a hotel right by the beach painted in wonderful colors. It reminded me of a European type of town. All the colors made for a perfect background for street style photos.

This trestle in Capitola has been our of service for years, which means no train runs through, which means....exploring the trestle. Walking through the tracks made me fee like we were in a Stephen King book..."you guys wanna go see a dead body?" lol. As we arrived at the trestle, I became scared. The old wood and the gap between the tracks )you can see directly down) made me a little scared. I then quickly asked John to snap some photos and then I immediately walked back.

After wrapping up in Capitola, we were back on the road and made our last stop, Watsonville. This little town was filled with great architecture AND it is where Martinelli's Cider headquarters is. I love their apple cider.
