Jimmie turned 5 a few days ago. For his birthday, we all decided to go to the magical kingdom: Disneyland. It was hist first visit and may I say that it was a long day. In the end, it was great to see the childrens' excitement. I hope they remember all the memories that we created that day.

I managed to attend week 2 of Coachella c/o 98.7fm. I won tickets via text message and tagged along with friends. It was a rather HOT weekend compared to previous times that I have been. In fact, it hit a record high of 107*F!! It was ridiculous! We managed, but man...it was a killer heatwave.

My friend recommended me to her friend for a photo party job. The theme was 90s and it was a blast. I was really digging my grunge look, although when I was younger, I was never into it. Mary-Kate inspired me for sure.

The first show in 2012 was brought to us by The Remainers. They performed last Monday night at the Silverlake Lounge and had a great set. There is where I met a Canadian blogger,
Amanda. Her blog is about health and wellness. It was nice to meet another blogger who also has a great taste in music.

Every first Thursday of every month, San Pedro hosts their Art Walk. My friend Marisol was the creator of the art exhibit at the Croatian Cultural Center of Greater Los Angeles. She gathered artists from all over Los Angeles and show cased their art. Paintings, photographs, crafts...it had everything. It was fun to view everyone's work. After the art walk, I was craving a scoop of Rainbow Sherbet from Rite-Aid. Happy Cinco de Mayo.

My friends and I attended the last Mondrian Session 2011, presented by KCRW, Thursday evening. Twin Sister was the band who performed inside the SPIN Hollywood at the Mondrian. It was a small place and filled with nifty people. There was no stage and it was a little hard to see the performance, but the music was loud and clear. Everyone danced (some danced a little too crazy).




Inside the women's restroom, there was a large space for guests to express themelves using colored chalk.























After the live session, we all walked to Mel's Drive-In on the Sunset Strip. I ordered all the sweets that I've been longing for.



For the first time in four months, I finally had a slice of chocolate cake (I've been craving it sooo bad and I'm on a diet.)
