You can't go to New York without visiting the MoMA. People need to go see all the original art work and appreciate that our country has them available. Although I went earlier in the year, I couldn't resist and showing my friends everything that the city has to offer including original paintings from Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, and Dali.
After leaving the MoMA, we walked through downtown and stumbled upon 30 Rock and the NBC Experience Store (bought me a FNL t-shirt). We were on a schedule, which prevented us from going to the top of the Rock among other things.
After much walking, we were hungry and moved on to Little Italy, a strip of Italian restaurants and welcomed to the public. We ate at Benito 1 and enjoyed the outdoors while eating our authentic Italian food.
The last thing on our agenda for the day was to visit the Brooklyn Bridge. We were lucky enough to have such a gorgeous photo background. The sun was the setting, the bridge lights were turned on and it made it for a perfect photo. It was beautiful! Last time I was on this bridge there was a snow storm and we still managed to walk the whole bridge. We asked a couple of girls to snap a photo of all of us and as a returned favor, I snapped a photo with my DSLR and e-mailed it to them. They were from Jersey and were very nice. Thank you!
After hours of getting ready for a date with the night, we walked a couple blocks down to a nightclub called Pacha. Let me tell you...nightlife in NYC is very expensive! What you don't pay for a car in you make up in cover fees and other things. Pacha was a European style nightclub and were open til 4 a.m. It was nice to finally experience the nightlife with girlfriends.
